As a personal trainer, I often get asked what to order at fast food and national chain restaurants to stay thin. Today let’s check out options at Chili’s. Chili's Restaurant offers a variety of low-fat and low-calorie choices that are perfect for those looking to maintain a healthy diet. The Guiltless Grill menu features several high-protein, low-fat choices like the sirloin steak, which is seasoned and topped with a chipotle-pesto drizzle, cilantro, and pico de gallo, and served with roasted asparagus. Another great option is the Ancho Salmon, which is seared chile-rubbed Atlantic salmon served with Mexican rice and steamed broccoli. These dishes are well within the calorie and fat ranges for a balanced meal.
“try ordering a cheeseburger without the bun. Thats my go to menu item”

For a healthier twist on a classic favorite, try ordering a cheeseburger without the bun and swap the french fries for fruit or grilled vegetables. See middle photo above. Its My personal favorite, the cheeseburger with a side of steamed broccoli.

Are You Stuck?
Consistency In Your Fitness Program in 2025
In the early stages of adopting a fitness program, consistency is key. Maintaining consistency becomes easier when a program fits well into your life, creating a motivational momentum that encourages continued participation. This sets the stage for early successes, or "small wins," increasing the likelihood of sticking with the new program. For weight management, many people start the new year with too high an intensity (only salad, fasting, low calorie, etc) and little focus on simplicity, which can be counterproductive. These exercise and calorie reductions hurt too much to stay at it all year!
Beyond structured exercise, engaging in fun physical activities can also be motivating. Consider trying something new in the gym that you've always wanted to do. To get unstuck, focus on your consistency in food and exercise in 2025 .

Nice post Paul! When I visit Chili's I typically order the sirloin also with asparagus. They will prepare it without salt if you ask. They use A LOT. Since they cook the asparagus in oil it is easy to add salt/pepper to taste and have it stick. I also try to remember the guidance of your protein on your plate should be the size of your fist. Unless you are an NFL lineman, anything beyond 6 oz is MUCH LARGER than your fist :)
I remember going to Chili's and looking at the burger menu. They list the calories and it was shocking how many calories were in some of them. I always mention it to my friends in the UK. I did what you recommend here Paul and went for the chicken and rice option. It's always hard to look past the burger menu but there are plenty of other better options on their menu.
